Hey guys, be sure to read the blurb from DorWei Produktions this week, right below the comic! We’re seeking guest artists for the month of May as well as for subsequent episodes! Just as a little incentive, we really love sending thank-you gifts to contributors!!!

A few ideas for guest arts that really tickle us:

“Behind the Scenes” type comics (like Cyrus’s last week!)
Putting the spotlight on more minor characters
The League of Unmentionable Monsters (remember them?)

Itinerary of Fun

I was having a conversation with my artist in crime partner in crime, about how great it would be to take our hobbies to the next level. We were talking specifically about doing something where we make and sell crafts but then I was thinking about how cool it was that our hobby of drawing and writing a comic was nothing anyone ever saw 1.5 years ago and here we are updating every week! And people read it! That’s pretty awesome and while there’s some leveling up I’d love to do, we already made it to a level we weren’t sure we were going to. Thanks guys!

Look at how organized that Circe is. It’s nice to have organized friends who love to plan! I’m sort of a planner but I loved going on vacation with a super planner friend of mine. All I had to do was sit back and choose activities I wanted to do off the Itinerary of Fun (it wasn’t really called that…officially) and then it would happen. I can see that it’ll be helpful for Maddie to have a pal like Circe to get things done. Well. If that attention to detail isn’t a sign of some deep, awful personality flaw….

One word for this week’s strip – SAUCY!!! Thanks Cyrus for another great guest strip that takes us behind the scenes with Psyche. Fans of a certain hit popular tv show might spot some in-jokes!

I wonder if in that wild night if there was some abuse of power with those love arrows, or else maybe those girls are drinking the concentrated shot form of Kiss of Lethe? I always thought Psyche was a ringleader in her little Psyclone gang, but looks like her friends are also instigators! That looks like one KILLER bedroom…and on a second reading, could be a set up for “the Hangover: Olympus Style”. Two thumbs up and a chorus of giggles!

Oh dear, just WHAT did Maddie agree to last night?! Looks like Circe is quite a bit of the Type A roommate judging from her clipboard of listings! And it looks like the feelings of friend betrayal are going to go both ways, judging from Tiny’s face.

Ah the housing hunt. It’s exciting and nerve wracking and fun! I have the bad habit of falling in love a place because in my imagination I’ve already moved in and hosted the next holiday party and filled it with love and beautiful decor. After that it is super disappointing if you don’t get the place! I think I had to move more than the average person for whatever reason (about every year or eitghteen months since I graduated college which was 10 years ago!) Whew. It’s always such a pain and hassle. On the other hand, I think I would now very much enjoy house hunting for someone ELSE, where there is no pressure for me to like, dislike, or compete for a place.

Hehe so anyone out there ever agree to something on a wild night and then not quite remember it the next morning?…

Circe in color!

Woo, Circe in all her colored glory! Our esteemed writer told me early on (as in, when I was still doing Medusa Blues in black-and-white) that she always envisioned our cat-adoring, boyfriend-lamenting Circe to have red hair. More than anything else this comic, I spent time picking out her hair color. I had visions of Anne of Green Gables come back to me as I tried not to go too auburn, but not too Disney’s Little Mermaid either.

And how about that bartender? Is he the master of the grapes himself, Dionysus? Or is he just some odd fellow who came out looking like sort of a young’n'reckless hybrid of Thor (the Chris Hemsworth variety) and Haymitch Abernathy? That’s kinda what he came out looking like to me…

At some point in the future, The Dorwei was thinking that all the gods of Olympus would make a mighty fine poster…

Where everyone knows your name!

Who out there has a regular hangout spot whether it’s after work or a neighborhood bar (or bubble tea, cafe, etc place) that you stop by every week and the servers all kind of know you? I head out to a nearby pub after work which is E-S-S-E-N-T-I-A-L to my mental health sometimes. At some point during my visits, I realized that the bartender stopped asking for my name when I went to go pay the evening’s tab. I was like…”oh! I’m here that much?” (yes.) But everything was OK when I realized they also started giving me the “regular” discount. I only just learned that one of the regular bartenders is actually the owner of the pub (he seems awfully young to be a pub owner but I guess he’s probably early 30′s?) Anyhow, my own pub experiences were the inspiration for this week’s strip. No purple martini type drinks there, though!

Hee hee. I guess they don’t have Greek pubs but I would totally go somewhere called the Jolly Grape!
